This week our expected amount to spend is somewhere around $95. (I know that may seem like a lot but when you figure we only shop twice a month.. Our goal is $200/month including all cat litter, chemicals, health&beauty products, etc.)
This list is a bit longer than most of our grocery lists but we need to buy some more baking stuff since our goal this quarter is to give up 1/2 of our pre-processed foods.
Housewares:
Seal-A Meal Bags ($9.78..The Vacuum Seal brand was $11.98)
Pharmacy:
Ricolla Cough Drops, 18 count--Have 3 Buy 1 Get 1 Free Coupons. The regular price was $1.97. After associate discount the price is $1.77. The price for all six was $.86 each.
HBA Cosmetics:
Pantene Travel Size Shampoo/Conditioner--Have 2-$1/1 coupons. The regular price was $.97, after associate discount was $.87 each. Price each after coupon was $.37 each.
Reach Floss was $1.12--Have a $1/1 coupon. The price after associate discount was $1.01. Final price for the reach floss was $.01
Colgate Max Fresh Trial Size, regularly 97 cents, after associate discount is 87 cents, had a $1/1 coupon. Final price was 13 cents overage.
Pets/Paper Goods/Chemicals:
Clorox Bleach 24 oz.--The regular store price was $1.38 but we found a competitor ad for $1.00 each. We also had a .50/2 coupon which we used. Final price per bleach was $.75.
Charmin--on sale at Wal-Mart for $5.72
Dry Grocery:
We bought an 8 pk of candy that was originally $1.32 and bought it using a competitor ad for .88.
I finally convinced Eric to switch brands for coffee since Maxwell House is usually $2 cheaper than Folgers.
Skippy Peanut Butter, 16.3 oz, regularly priced $2.26. Found a competitor ad for $1.99 plus had a 75 cent coupon. Final price was $1.24.
Francesco Rinaldi Spaghetti Sauce, Regularly $1.28, Had a competitor ad for $1.00
San Giorgio Pasta, Regularly $1.23 found a competitor ad for $1.00 each.
Bought the No Yolks Egg Noodles, had 2-$.75/1 coupon. Regularly $1.78, final price was $1.03/bag.
Swanson broth is regularly $.97 each, found a competitor ad for $.60 each and had a $1/5 coupon. Final price was $.40 each.
Progresso soup is normally $1.50, found a competitor ad for $1.00 each. Also had a coupon for $1.10/3. Final price was 83 cents a can.
V8 juice (splurge item for Eric). Regularly $2.98, competitor ad for $2.50 each. Had a coupon for $1/2. Final price each was $2.00

Wet Grocery/Dairy/Frozen/Bakery/produce:
Daisy Sour Cream, regularly priced for $2.56, competitor ad for $1.99.
Eggs, had a coupon for Buy 1 Get 1 Free so saved $1.22 off of two dozen which is $.61 cents each.
Pepsi is regularly $1.48, found a competitor ad for $1.00 and had 2, $.25/1 coupons. Final price was $.75 each.
Perry's Ice Cream is regularly $4.28, found a competitor ad for $2.50 each.
2 loaves of store brand bread
1 5lb-bag of apples on sale for $1.50 from $2.97.
Final total was $102.95 which was $7.95 over our budget but we knew it would be close since we were getting more baking items than we would normally get in one shopping trip.
